She studied fashion design at the University of Surrey. Her love of fashion drove her and her creativity set her apart.
In 1994, still a student, she worked as an assistant stylist at the Islington Graduate Fashion Week, while working at Hang Ten for the children’s line. In 1996 she took part in the London Graduate Fashion Week with ten of her own creations inspired by Greek mythology. From 1994 to 1996 she worked as a designer for Champ, a company that specializes in children’s clothing.
2000 was a landmark year in her career in which she managed to organize her first fashion show, a charity event entitled Aqua Blue. Until 2002 she had her own studio, creating haute couture as well as casual lines. Her own personal label, Marina, was launched in 2002 offering both women’s and men’s lines, as well as wedding gowns and accessories.
